As we slipped into lockdown, I sent out disposable cameras to people across the U.K. This began a collective photography journal, documenting this unparalleled moment in time.

The project set out to capture the individual experiences of those battling the coronavirus at close range, whether they were working on the frontline as a doctor or delivering food to those who had accepted their fate of being house-bound for an indefinite period.

By weaving everyone’s photographs together into a photo essay, a story emerged of the collective psyche - revealing an insight into different experiences of lockdown, self-isolation and social distancing.
